Your Duties

Stantec's Science and Technology sector is seeking to fill a mechanical, chemical, electrical, and structural engineering and architectural intern positions in the Albany, Binghamton and Rochester, NY, offices.  Ideal candidates will have completed, at a minimum, their sophomore year and be working toward completion of a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Structural, Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.


Your Capabilities and Duties

  • Provide engineering support on project teams
  • Assist with engineering analysis and calculations
  • Work with design teams supporting preparation of construction plans, (e.g. process flow diagrams, piping plans, lighting layouts, power plans, one line diagrams, etc.), specifications, reports, and other deliverables
  • Vendor and product research
  • Perform field work under direction of others

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Looking for a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic, capable of prioritizing and communicating to multiple groups. May be required to perform field work at client sites.
  • Ideal candidates will have completed, at a minimum, their sophomore year and be working toward completion of a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Structural Engineering, or Architecture.
  • Experience with AutoCad and/or Revit a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments
  • Local candidates preferred
  • Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the US
