Stantec's Sport Group, one of our country's leading outdoor athletic facility designers, is seeking a summer Landscape Architecture Intern to complement the multidisciplinary team in our Boston studio.
Our design studio, located steps from the iconic Boston Garden, is home to over 50 design professionals that comprise the New England Community Development division of Stantec. A niche sector in that division, the Sport Group, is dedicated specifically to athletic facility design including large and small athletic venues such as natural grass and/or synthetic turf multipurpose, soccer, football, field hockey, lacrosse, baseball, softball fields in addition to track and field, tennis and basketball facilities. Our team designs these facilities for a wide range of municipal, private, high school, collegiate, and professional clients. Stantec is the place where great ideas come to life and rewarding careers happen.
We connect the people, places, and resources that take a project from concept to reality. Our studios are client-centered, business casual, friendly, but a fast-paced environment to work in.
The Sport Intern will be encouraged to develop their skills while supporting our team with new project proposals, existing conditions analysis, concept design, project presentation graphics, production of construction documents, and construction observation.
Applicants should be a current student or recent graduate of an accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree Landscape Architecture program. We are seeking someone with excellent design, graphic, computer, writing, and technical skills, who are also self-motivated and passionate about Sports in general, and are interested in Athletic Facility design.
The ideal candidate should have strong time management, critical thinking, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work both with others, and independently. Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, SketchUp and Adobe programs is essential.
Once we receive your resume, we will follow up to confirm that all your materials were successfully downloaded, or notify you that something was missing. Application packages will be reviewed based upon creativity, critical thinking, and design communication skills.
All required application materials must be submitted by the end of February 16, 2018.
