Your Duties

Stantec is looking for an Engineer in Training (Engineering Intern) to be a part of our growing Transportation team in our Nashville office. The Engineer will be responsible for daily tasks related to Traffic and ITS Engineering that include all phases of work from planning to analysis and design, as well as construction support. Responsibilities will include data collection, capacity analysis, traffic simulation and modeling, systems engineering analysis, ITS Architecture development, transit analysis, and design plan preparation for various clients.  Click the following links for more information on some of our current and past projects:

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Successful completion and passing of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
  • Experience with CAD software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD (MircroStation preferred)
  • Experience with traffic analysis software such as Synchro, Vistro, and VISSIM appreciated
  • Knowledge of basic electrical engineering appreciated
  • Good communication skills and familiarity with Microsoft cloud-based products such as Outlook, Skype, and OneDrive appreciated
  • Willingness to learn new skills and interface with multiple project managers
  • The candidate is expected to work hard to help the team meet deadlines and client expectations
  • It is also important that the candidate have an eager desire to learn and take on responsibilities to shape their career
