Stantec’s Rocklin, CA office is seeking an NPDES Permit Specialist to join our Water group.

 

Your Duties

Your Duties:

  • Assist with Low Threat and Limited Thread General Permit application and compliance.
  • Assist with wastewater treatment facility NPDES permit compliance activities, including the development and implementation of special studies.
  • Prepare SWPPPs in compliance with the Construction and Industrial General Stormwater Permits.
  • Perform dry weather and wet weather site inspections and monitoring in compliance with the Construction and Industrial General Stormwater Permits.
  • Assist with documenting compliance with the Construction and Industrial General Permits.
  • Assist in developing proposals for similar scopes of services.

 

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Your Capabilities and Credentials:

    • 1-3 years of NPDES experience
    • Experience preparing or assisting with the preparation of SWPPPs in compliance with the Construction and Industrial General Permits.
    • A Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or related field.
    • Understanding of hydrologic processes and erosion control.
    • Strong working knowledge of NPDES compliance including :
      • Construction General Permit
      • Industrial General Permit
      • Wastewater Treatment Facility NPDES Permits
      • Low Threat/Limited Threat NPDES Permits
    • Must have strong oral communication and technical writing skills, and be team focused and detail oriented.
    • Must have the ability to read analytical laboratory reports and manage water quality data in Microsoft Excel.
    • Must demonstrate effective resource planning, results delivery, and staying current with relevant technology and innovation.
    • Positive outlook, collaborative, and driven by the success of Stantec.
    • Must have a good driving record and valid driver’s license.
    • Prior to employment with Stantec the candidate must successfully pass a physical and drug/alcohol screening.
