Your Duties

General Position Summary/Job Scope:

  • Works with the Practice Solutions Manager to ensure high quality service delivery and ongoing support of our practitioners in the execution of Buildings core business.
  • Effectively leverage new and emergent technologies in support of Buildings practice development and innovation efforts. 
  • Liaise with subject matter experts and discipline leaders to ensure that data maintained in all Buildings repositories is logically organized, maintained (up to date), accessible, and associated documentation in place to support it usage or consumption.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  • Works with Practice Solutions Manager to maintain and coordinate software; purchase, implementation, release/rollout, licensing, and inventory of practitioner leveraged software. 
  • Works with Infrastructure Solutions Manager to develop training and messaging in support of managed office, coordination, storage, design, analysis, drafting, and modeling software.
  • Stay informed of changes in the marketplace to software and technology updates as it relates to Buildings business and practice. 
  • Supports Digital Practice leadership in the creation of annual budgets in support of current and future technology adoption. 
  • Participates in all programs and enforces all policies relating to performance evaluations and career development planning.
  • Report regularly on current state of all Buildings Digital Practice data and assets.
  • Support our team members/practitioners via regular engagement and consistent communication.
  • Produce technical and user documentation for processes and procedures
  • Create and implement data governance practices
  • Create and maintain data catalogs: software assets, hardware assets, professional licensing, etc…
  • Manage and coordinate the update and maintenance of Buildings SharePoint content including but not limited to the Buildings Codes and Standards .
  • Liaise with various organizations / 3rd party resellers to negotiate the purchase, renewal, or subscription of; hard or electronic copies of required codes & standards, “enterprise” license agreements, stand alone license agreements, mobile applications, hardware and mobile devices.
  • Renew ongoing online codes & standards subscriptions including reviewing subscribed document usage lists to ensure unnecessary documents are not renewed.
  • Work with Buildings Digital Practice Leadership for pricing approvals, consistency and status reporting.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Education and/or Experience: 

  • Minimum 4 year degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years data management and reporting experience required.
  • 4+ years prior experience supporting the unique needs of AE industry required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the unique technology needs of the Buildings Architectural and Engineering (A/E) practice
  • Base understanding of business analytics, cost estimation, software agreements, procurement processes and annual budgeting required. 
  • Ability to work both independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment is required 
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly capture and articulate client requirements and pain points for planning purposes.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products
  • Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Office SharePoint required for data curation.
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
  • Must thrive in multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Confidentiality of client and business data required.
  • Ability to reach sound conclusions and demonstrate good judgment.
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate a professional, respectful demeanor in keeping with the firm's culture and values.
  • Experience in collection and organization of data in the design environment required.
  • Experience with data curation in a development and business environment required.
  • Previous experience in data governance/data cleaning practices and implementation
  • Superior organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • A strong commitment to excellence in service and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to develop effective relationships with internal and external departments to further dataset management projects
