Our team members have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects, which extend from initial feasibility studies through construction, commissioning and validation. Stantec's team of science and technology professionals provides document control / project control staff with both the support and opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects while learning.

 

The successful performance of a project depends on appropriate planning and execution.  The Project Support team is responsible for collaborating with Project Managers and design teams to to provide support for the successful execution of projects through conformance to Stantec’s Frameworks, corporate policies, and client requirements and standards.

Your Duties

Project coordination requires providing accurate commitment and expenditure information, performance data, timely cost forecasts, and forward-looking advice to Project Management to support achievement of budget objectives. The Project Management Intern can help our team achieve these objectives by:

  • Working closely with the project team to maintain a current and accurate understanding of project status, issues and changes
  • Supporting effort to produce timely and useful reports
  • Assisting with document tracking, deliverables scheduling and management, minutes, RFIs, submittals, change logs and other communication tools
  • Provide support to project management and team members to adhere to client standards, Stantec required procedures, and document management.
  • Supporting business development functions: Proposals, Pipeline

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Completion of 2 years higher education in pursuit of Business, Accounting, or Engineering degree.
  • Experience with MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communications a must
