Your Duties

Stantec’s Camarillo team is looking for a highly motivated Senior Civil Engineer with strong water/wastewater and land development capabilities to lead a dynamic group of engineering professionals. The successful candidate will use his/her technical abilities to plan, analyze, and design civil infrastructure for both public works and private development clients.


The candidate will have overall responsibility for all aspects of, and the success of, all assigned projects. Specific duties of the position:

  • Manage and supervise engineers and technical staff to ensure that the projects’ needs are met in a timely and effective manner; 
  • Perform detailed studies, modeling and design of municipal water and wastewater systems and related facilities;
  • Prepare plans and specifications and other contract documents for civil infrastructure;
  • Meet with clients, municipal officials, public, and contractors to review project needs and coordinate field conditions;
  • Manage project schedule and budget;
  • Manage the process for obtaining approvals from various agencies;
  • Write reports and design briefs to document analyses;
  • Prepare proposals and actively pursue new project opportunities; 
  • Plan and execute QA/QC plan for individual projects

Your Capabilities and Credentials

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering or related degree.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in California or ability to obtain California P.E. within six (6) months.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years progressive experience in all aspects of civil engineering
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and with a team.
  • Valid Drivers License and good driving record required.
