    Stantec is seeking a Construction Manager, with 6+ years of experience, preferably with experience in Coal Combustion Residual (CCR) disposal facility construction and/or impoundment closures, to join our Water Sector as part of our CCR team serving the power industry.  The position will be based out of our St. Louis office. 


    Your Duties

    As a Construction Manager, you will utilize your construction experience and technical knowledge to successfully execute and manage projects and help us build and grow our practice.

    • Oversee and perform as required day- to- day construction management efforts to ensure the project(s) are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. 
    • Interface with client, oversight representatives, regulatory agencies
    • Provide support to all activities associated with construction management, contract administration, contract planning/execution, contractor’s scheduling review and analysis, change order management, and Quality Assurance oversight with field Inspection functions as required
    • Support the planning and coordination of activities of company and consultant personnel on assigned projects
    • Assist with the authorization/approval process for contractor pay estimates purchase requisitions, change requests, etc. Help ensure company, client, and project policies, procedures, standards, etc., are adhered to properly. Interpret policies as required.
    • Support the creation of decisions and recommendations that can improve corporate relationship with client and profitability of managed projects. Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
    • Work directly with multiple design teams in ongoing constructability reviews, cost estimating and client networking in addition to primary assignment as construction manager on active projects.

    Your Capabilities and Credentials

    • Associate degree or 4-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or other related field.
    • Minimum 6 years experience of prior relevant experience working on large Environmental projects, especially Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR) Impoundment Closures. 
    • Familiar with various aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods), commonly accepted industry policies, procedures and standards particularly for working with CCR.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory and planning skills. Job Category Construction Support, Field Work Preferred Specifications
    • PE or CMAA a plus.
    • Construction Management or Traditional Delivery Method experience.
    • Knowledge of the Power Industry and EPA Rules for Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR) Impoundment Closure.

    Working knowledge of MSOffice Suite applications and flexibility to travel and work with office team or job site.
