Stantec Consulting, Inc. has an immediate opening for an experienced Quality Manager with experience working on large-capital improvement projects to join our team at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. 

Your Duties

Interacts with ITRP Program Management Team (PMT) members for appropriate coordination, communication and documentation related to quality across ITRP projects.


Defines and monitors inspection and testing activities to assure that the activities follow the quality standards defined in the ITRP QMP and the project specific QMPs developed by the respective design consultants, and contractors for the ITRP.


Monitors and assures that constructability and maintainability of system elements are incorporated into the projects during all phases of design and construction.


Assess and recommend refinements (if needed) of QMP processes and procedures to assure that they remain effective and continue to meet the needs of the ITRP QMP.


Assures sufficient and appropriate quality assurance documentation is being collected, recorded, distributed and retained.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Ability to implement the Quality Management Programs (QMPs) on large capital development programs, airport specific experience desirable.


Monitor, evaluate and report on the quality of planning, design and construction activities against established benchmarks and performance standards set for design consultants, contractors and vendors to assure the work conforms with the contract documents and industry standards.


Ability to conduct internal audits of the program management teams to evaluate conformance with and effectiveness of established QMP processes and procedures.


Ability to conduct external audits of design consultants and contractors to evaluate conformance with the contract documents.


8-10 years combined professional experience in design, construction and/ or project management, with three (3) years experience in construction-related quality control/ quality assurance required.


BS degree in construction management, engineering discipline or equivalent experience required.
